                                         HITLER'S YOUTH
   Dear viewers,
For this blog I'm going to talk about one of the things I have been learning at school " The youth of Germany during the time of the National Socialist Party (Nazis) " and what it was like for them during their time. To start off with the youth of that time was very interested in Adolf Hitler and the things he said or at least most people in Germany considered him a good person with a dream to make the world a better place which made the children easily manipulable for his terrible plans. Another thing that was interesting about kids at that time in Germany was that Hitler in a way was very interested in making kids Nazis which is why at the time they had a Hitler youth program. Some of the things that they did in the program are camp, pass out flyers, and patrol there local areas for crime which was dangerous and actually led to 20 or so teen deaths between the years 1926-1932 one of which was Herbert Norkus who was involved with the Hitler Youth program and was only 14 when he was attacked delivering flyers by a group of 6-7 boys who stabbed him 6 times which led to his death after massive blood loss.

That's all I've got thank you viewers

                       The space needle
Hello viewers for this blog post I'm going to talk about the Seattle Space needle one of Seattle's most famous structures and a bit of its history.

                                                Some facts about the needle

  • When the Space needle was built it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi river.
  • During the construction of the space needle it took 467 trucks of cement to fill the foundation hole.
  • There are 848 steps from the bottom of the basement to the top of the observation deck.
  • The space needle sways 1 inch for every 10 mph of wind. Making it a requirement to slow down the elevator speed to 5 mph.
  • On a hot day the space needle expands by 1 inch
  • The original name for the space needle was the space cage and the restaurant was called the eye of the needle.
  • The Space needle was built in 1962 for 4.5 million dollars.
  • The Space needle is held together by 72 bolts each 30 ft in length
  • The speed of going down the elevator is 10 mph, 3 mph faster than snow so if your going down the elevator on a snowy day then it looks like its snowing upwards.

The reason for the Space needle
The reason the space needle was created in 1962 was for the worlds fair in 1963 it was created by the artist Edward E. Carlson and was said to be the building of the 21st century it was later adjusted and changed by a the architect John graham so that it could actually be built.

                             BACON!!!!
Dear viewers today in this blog post I will be talking a bit about the history of bacon, what parts of the pig are made of bacon, and pictures of different types of bacon.

                                                         History of Bacon.

  • The word "bacon" is a word that historically originated in the modern English language but like a lot of English words it's etymology is slightly more complicated than that, and etymologists argue over its origin.
  • The history of bacon is not just about the cut of the meat, its also about the genetic lineage of the pig and arguably when it comes to the history of making bacon, the most blue-blooded of all bacon lineages come from England, with its centuries old history of breeding lines of pig specifically to make what the world now calls bacon.
  • Any nation with access to a wild boar throughout history has enjoyed some kind of “bacon” before, but they did not call it bacon and it probably did not look like it belonged in a traditional breakfast.
                                                                                              The "cut" of the Pig
Bacon is usually a smoked piece of meat from the back of the leg or the belly of a pig it can also sometimes be part of the outer side of a pig ( not the butt or face ).Bacon can also be cut from other animals such as turkey, goat, cow, and for the hippies soy. There are some different names for the pieces of bacon such as the "back bacon" usually called by British people.

                                                   The Types of Bacon
                                                         Turkey bacon

And Soy bacon

                                                         Video Games Aren't sports
Dear, viewers for this blog I'm going to talk about video games them being considered sports now I like video games as much as the next kid but with all honesty I don't believe that video games should be considered a sport for a few reasons. First they don't create any type of muscular work or activity to make any type of work out. Second it involves no movement other than the movement of your fingers. And finally it doesn't involve any thing physical every thing you do in games is working out your head. Now there is exceptions to this such as the Wii system which in most cases does involve physical movement and a good work out. So my point being that if someone asked if video games were sports I'd say no for the reasons given above.

Here is a picture of person who plays video games on a daily bases.

and here is a photo of some kids who are active constantly and, having fun.

With these photos I prove my point that video games don't do the same as sports for your body which is why I do not believe that video games should be considered sports.

So viewers,
For my first blog I'm going to talk about a poetic child hood book                           "Where the side walk Ends" to me as a kid this book was probably the most poetically entertaining
book I've ever read as a child. The reason this is my favorite book is because when I was younger my teacher would read a different poems every day for about a week or two. And every time she read a poem I would get an image of the story dancing around the words in my head. Another reason that this is my favorite book is because it is my first book with poems in it.One of my favorite poems from the book is "Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me Too" this story made me imagine of flying around and exploring with my friends, just in a different manner.
Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too
Went for a ride in a flying shoe.
"Hooray!"
"What fun!"
"It's time we flew!"
Said Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle was captain, and Pickle was crew
And Tickle served coffee and mulligan stew
As higher
And higher
And higher they flew,
Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too,
Over the sun and beyond the blue.
"Hold on!"
"Stay in!"
"I hope we do!"
Cried Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle too
Never returned to the world they knew,
And nobody
Knows what's
Happened to
Dear Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

This is my favorite poem from this book. If you like         Shel Silverstein then comment your favorite poem and like my Blog.                                                    Peace out,
